With the number of expansion packs that have been released for the Sims, some players weren't so excited anymore when Superstar and Makin' Magic came out. With EA Games releasing statements that it is creating the next generation Sims, some people think it's useless to buy expansion packs for an old game if the new game will be released soon.

I like Superstar because this allows your sim to pursue a career in show business. Makin' Magic will appeal to Harry Potter fans because with this expansion pack, your sims get a wand, a cauldron, a spell book, other magic stuff PLUS it gets a portal to the land of magic.

Continuing addiction to the SIMS

Finally finished installing the SIMs in my new office PC. I was trying to install the game with all the expansion packs last week but keep getting the procedure wrong. I decided to install one set a day. Started with De Luxe Monday, Added superstar yesterday, and now I installed Makin' Magic. This means I would be going home much later everyday he he he! The game runs faster in my office PC because it has fewer programs installed ... only about a quarter of its 40GB hard disk space has been used. That's a big difference to my home PC where less than a quarter of its 40GB space is free. A lot of that space occupied by programs Jon has installed. Seriously.
